It is that time of the year when all of the snacks and bad eating habits are coming back to get you. You know it is picture time coming up, and you need to do something. Dont worry, and start to panic. I can lay out for you some simple things you can do to start this process to lose 20 pounds fast. You first thing you need to do is cut out all of the sugar. This is such a contributor to the added weight we are putting on. And, especially look out for the labels which call it high-fructose corn syrup. Most of the manufactured, or processed, food we eat today had high fructose corn syrup added to it. This is bad! Stay away from this. Which leads me to my next statement. Eat fresh foods. This goes with the above message. If you eat fresh foods, there is no sugar or corn syrup added. Did you know 1 cup of pasta has the same amount of carbohydrates as 4-5 heads of lettuce? Which one do think is easier to eat? You need to look at the food that way. There is a study out there, which talks about volumetrics, which is the size of the food, compared to the amount of calories in it. Pasta is a very bad food when it comes to this. If you stick with fresh foods you will be OK. Do not try to starve yourself. If you cut back your calorie intake, your body will adjust itself to the newer levels. This will not work. Also, do not try some low fat diet. This fad is the reason for all of the high fructose corn syrup in the foods. The removed the fat and added this. Calorie content stayed about the same, but they added sugar. Not a very smart move. Just look at how big everyone in America is. 20 pounds is a very large goal. Fast, or slow, it is a disciplined process of doing this. Just remember the low fat and low carb diets do not work. And really, who wants to starve themselves, or get clogged up from the high protein diets, just to shed a few pounds? Not me. But just the quick change to steps above will get you on your way to lose 20 pounds fast.
