How To Attract A Guy

By Cheryl Gardner Do you find yourself home on a Friday or Saturday night? Jealous that the television actor has a date and you don’t? Find out strategies on how to attract a guy that will get you off the couch, out the door and on your way to a new you with a new Mr. Right. Firstly, know what you are looking for. Ask yourself, what kind of a guy you want to attract? Be realistic in your criteria. If you find that you always attract the wrong kind of guy, identify what that is and make the change. If you want to attract a guy that has certain characteristics and attributes, stick to your guns. Remember if you want to attract that guy to your life forever, that’s a long time, it’s going to take time to attract the right guy. Sit down and right down the top 10 attributes that you desire in your mystery guy and read them often. This will open you up to the possibilities around you. Next, look your best no matter where you go. Attracting a guy could happen at the laundry mat or the grocery store. Don’t limit your sights to Friday or Saturday nights in a bar where it’s dark and alcohol affects any sort of judgment. Go ahead and wear some nice perfume, style your hair, wear your favorite outfit to the grocery store. I have had friends that were able to attract a guy in a traffic jam or the drive thru at Burger King. You’re making an impression wherever you go and remember the first one makes lasting one. A fragrance that someone will remember, looking good in a particular shirt or pants will leave the right guy remembering you. If you feel good inside and out it’s going to show in how you act. Putting in a little extra effort to look good will also keep you feeling great, and in the mood to attract a guy or even a Mr. Right. Be confident but not overbearing when attracting a guy. If you know yourself and know what you are looking for, guys will respect your honesty. This too will reflect on how you come across to others. If you’re shy and have no self-confidence or beat around the bush when talking to someone, they will think you’re not interested. Go on, get over your baggage! This is the new you we are talking to an you are ready to attract a guy. You may have been burned before (um, who hasn’t?), deal with it then leave it behind. No guy is going to want a competition with an ex or your past relationships. See the mistakes as lessons to learn and grow to become a more confident you. Also, don’t be something your not when attracting that perfect guy. Wear your fake lashes, your push up bras, your foundation applied maliciously and your favorite heels but keep one thing in mind… This guy might just see you in the morning, so be prepared for a transformation that won’t send him running out the door shrieking. Be proud of who you are, things to dress up with are fine but don’t try to completely change, he is interested in you not your collagen treatments. Would you really want to be with someone that didn’t appreciate the real you the next morning? Be yourself, relax and know that there is a relationship waiting out there for you. Remember you know what you’re looking and you will attract him to you. Never come across or enter a room with the intention of attracting a guy. You don’t want to appear as desperate or over confident. Be interested in the other person. Don’t constantly talk about your dog and all the tricks he can do or about the run in your stockings. Ask questions of this handsome guy, find things you two have in common and run with that. That is another lasting memory the other person will keep then go back to your friends and brag about the person you just met. There are many more ways to attract a guy, and I have only covered a few, but rest assured that the most timeless advice is always to know what you are looking for and to be yourself, while remaining open to the surprises that life offers at every step. —- For more free, easy to use articles, reviews and tips on attracting your next hot date, lover or relationship, visit http://www.Attract2Me.com/CGNewsletter Cheryl Gardner is an avid researcher and reviewer of online dating resources and products. Secrets to Weight Loss that Will Last a Lifetime!

By Diana Chaloux It seems very appealing to try out the latest diet craze or fad and “magically” drop the weight, but let’s think about the future for a minute. How frustrated will you feel when you gain all the weight back and then some because the diet you subscribed to wasn’t something you could maintain for life? Think how much better you will feel and how much better your body will feel when you adopt a healthy nutrition plan that not only allows you to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, but also allows you to keep the weight off for the rest of your life! Don’t worry about revamping your entire diet in a day or a week. Start by making small changes to your eating patterns. Create a habit. Once one habit has been created start working on the next healthy change. It will take time to change your eating patterns since we are talking about behavioral changes. Don’t beat yourself up if you slip up, just get back on track! Eating healthy doesn’t mean that you have to give up all the foods that you enjoy! People who eat a healthy and clean diet aren’t suffering and leading a miserable life! On the contrary, when you maintain a healthy nutrition plan you will have more energy, you will be able to function better (breathe easier, think more clearly, and move your body more easily to name a few!) You are also lowering the risk of diseases such as heart disease, certain cancers, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, overweight and obesity, just to name a few! You will be improving the quality and more than likely the quantity of your life just by being in control of what you eat! You can enjoy special treats as well when you maintain healthy nutrition for the majority of the time too. There are many reasons why eating healthy is so crucial! What motivates you to eat healthy? Here are some changes you can start making TODAY which can help you clean up your diet for the long term! Don’t procrastinate start instilling these healthy habits today, get the results that you really want that are going to last for your lifetime. Choose one or two of the following to commit to this week, start changing your nutrition and your life now! 1. Eat breakfast. If you dont currently eat something for breakfast try to get at least a little something in to start your metabolism for the day, I cant stress enough how important this is! Youve heard it before and it is the truth, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! 2. Start educating yourself. Read nutrition labels, check out the USDA Nutrition Data Base and look up your favorite foods to find out what you are putting in your body! The more education you have about what you are eating easier making healthy choices will be for you! 3. Portion CONTROL! This is a huge one folks! Many people fall into the trap of thinking, Oh this is non-fat or the calories, I can eat as much as I want. Wrong! Dont overeat with the excuse of Its good for me. I strongly urge you to buy a food scale and start measuring out portion sizes. This is a great way to learn what a portion is, and soon enough you will be able to tell just by looking! 4. Stop eating when youre full. You dont have to eat everything on your plate. Pack it up and save it for later. 5. Take note of what your trouble times are during the day. When do you feel the need to binge or make unhealthy food choices. For many people this tends to happen later in the day or in the evening when they are bored. What can you do to avoid eating during these times? For example if you have a tendency to eat later at night try brushing your teeth right after your last meal. Or preparing yourself some flavored water to sip on or some caffeine free tea, this way youll feel like youre having something without adding consuming calories that you dont need! 6. Switch to low fat or no fat dairy products. Just by switching from whole milk to skim milk you can save up to 65 calories per serving! Eating dairy is a great way to get in your calcium for the day which will keep your bones strong, when you choose low fat or non fat products you still get the calcium benefit without all the extra calories. 7. Start cutting out the sugars. This is a tough one since a huge majority of people are hooked on sugar. Try using sugar substitutes, Stevia is a natural sweetener that comes in a variety of flavors and adds no extra calories to your food. If youve got a sweet tooth try craving it with fruits instead of high calorie and fatty sweets. Remember dont try to change your diet all in one day. Do you have an unhealthy habit of eating ice cream everyday? Try just cutting back to 2-3 days where you are allowed to have a portion of ice cream. Commit to only eating your ice cream on those days. This way you can resist the urge to binge because you feel deprived! 8. Dont tell yourself you cant have something. As soon as you tell yourself you cant have it, thats what you are going to crave. You can have it, but you have weight and fitness goals that you are determined to meet so you choose not to eat it at this time. 9. Start cutting out the fatty foods that you dont need. This means creamy dressings, oils that you dont need to add to your foods, butter and other high fat high calories additions to your meals that are sabotaging your progress! Again think small, try going one day without buttering your bread or tell yourself that you can enjoy those extra calories every other day. 10. Eat more fiber! You can get fiber from eating more veggies and also by switching to whole grain pasta and bread products. One of the nice things about a product higher in fiber is that it will fill you up more quickly and keep you full for longer! Whatever you decide to do to clean up your diet, start today! Remember that it will take time to develop healthy eating and nutrition habits that you can maintain for life. Start small, even making small adjustments to your nutrition habits can make major changes in the amount of calories that you are taking in every week. One pound of fat is 3500 calories, so in order to lose a pound of fat in a week you need to cut out 3500 calories from what you are eating throughout the week or burn off extra calories through exercise and increased physical activity! What can you do TODAY to get you one step closer to your fitness dream? Diana Chaloux is the co-founder and owner of Destined 2 Be Fit (http://www.destined2befit.com). Seasonal Affective Disorder: One Easy, Cheap, Natural Way to Manage It

By Denice Moffat A double-blind, placebo-controlled study that enrolled 20 U.S. Marines suggests that tyrosine can improve mental alertness during periods of sleep deprivation. In this study, the participants were deprived of sleep for a night and then tested frequently for their alertness throughout the day as they worked. Compared to placebo, 10 to 15 grams of tyrosine given twice daily seemed to provide a “pick-up” for about two hours.* L-tyrosine deficiencies affect memory, ability to handle stress, can cause depression and Seasonal Affective Disorders (SAD) by disrupting the serotonin-dopamine neurotransmitters of the brain. It always amazes me when we see a shift in nutrition on a continental scale. What causes this? Why is there such a deficiency? Is it a new additive binding up the amino acid? Or is some type of effective advertising causing a decrease in the consumptions of particular foods that are rich in these nutrients? Each practitioner picks these things up in different ways, but we do pick it up. Even though we may come to different conclusions, society gets alerted to the deficiency and finds ways to correct it. Ive noticed this L-tyrosine deficiency in my own practice for several years. It manifests as depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder and there is an easy, cheap, natural and effective way to manage these challenges. It doesnt work for everyoneonly most people. And it does a great job of doing it. The food which acts most effective to replace tyrosine deficiencies is sesame seeds (except for Blood Type B people who should not eat sesame products according to www.dadamo.com ) Sesame seeds can be taken in the form of raw seeds and tahini, or as halvah. The normal dose is about 2 tablespoons of the raw sesame seeds, or one tablespoon of tahini or halvah. It does have to be taken every day to be affective and it takes a couple of weeks to repair the tyrosine deficiency in your body. The other thing you can do to help depression and SAD is to increase the amounts of raw fruits and vegetables in your diet. The usual dose is between 1 cups to 2 cups EACH of raw fruits, raw vegetables and cooked vegetables every day. The addition of these foods makes everything you are taking (supplements, vitamins and even real drugs) work better. People ask my why they cant just take the pill form called L-Tyrosine, but it seems like this form is just too strong and is less effective in repairing the deficiency. As will all programs, if you are on medications, please consult with your medical doctor first as going off antidepressants cold-turkey can be very dangerous. * Reference: Neri DF, Wiegmann D, Stanny RR, et al. Depression - Causes and Treatments

By Bradley James Depression has long been considered a character flaw indicative of morally weak minded individuals. However, new research clearly shows that depression has distinct biochemical roots that affect the way nerve cells work. It is an illness which can be accurately diagnosed and treated successfully in the vast majority of cases. Through the recognition of causes and knowledge of the treatments, those suffering from depression are able to preserver and overcome their illness. Depression can be described in terms of a physical imbalance in the brain which may cause, or be caused by various psychological conditions. The physical imbalance refers to an abnormally high or low level of hormones in the brain. These hormones may include, but are not limited to, the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. The unusual levels of these chemicals may be inherited, which is part of the reason why depression tends to run in families. A psychological condition is basically the emotional state of a person which leads them into depression. A few common conditions are guilt, loneliness, anxiety, and sadness. Guilt can be experienced by all age groups, but is especially common among the elderly who have the so-called survivors guilt for outliving their loved ones. Loneliness is also a common emotional problem of the elderly, and adults in general. According to Dr. Robert Butler MD, author of Aging and Mental Health 1991, children tend to fear being left alone in a threatening and uncertain world, while adults fear emotional isolation. Depressive psychological conditions can also be a result of traumatic emotional loses and low self esteem. Profound trauma in early childhood such as physical or sexual abuse, a bitter divorce, the death of a parent, or other deeply disturbing experiences can set the emotional stage for depression later in life. Low self esteem can arise in childhood and last into adulthood. Usually caused by unpleasant experiences, such as taunting by peers, which gradually lowers the feeling of self worth. Depression may be treated using a variety of different methods which are divided into two main divisions: antidepressant medications, and non-drug therapies. Antidepressant medications work by rebalancing the offset chemicals in the brain, thus improving emotional well being. As reported in Drug Facts and Comparisons 1999, all antidepressants are equally effective; elevating mood in 60% to 80% of people who use them as directed. (statistics) MAO inhibitors are among the oldest antidepressants currently in use. They work by interfering with the enzyme monoamine oxidase, which helps clear serotonin and dopamine from the spaces between nerve endings in the brain. SSRI’s are drugs such as Prozac, Zoloft, and Paxil. In addition to treating depression they may also help treat anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bulimia. As stated in the Medical Tribune 1996, SSRI’s work by selectively keeping nerve cells from eliminating the neurotransmitter serotonin. Non-drug therapies offer many alternatives to antidepressant medication. Cognitive therapy - also called cognitive restructuring - teaches people to first identify and then correct depressive thinking. Many people tend to distort and over magnify small mistakes, and cognitive therapy helps them downplay these minor problems. You can’t talk yourself out of depression, but you can stop talking yourself deeper into it. Quote by Dr. Michael Castleman, author of Cognitive Therapy 1979. One of the most common non-drug therapies is exercise. Research indicates that exercise can improve mood, relieve anxiety, improve appetite, and increase self esteem. Exercise helps normalize the chemical imbalances in the brain linked to depression, says Dr. Steven Zarit in book Mental Disorders in Adults 1998. Another popular treatment is Psychotherapy. Long-term Freudian psychoanalysis has been largely replaced by shorter-term “talk therapies.” In the NIMH study, nearly half of those patients with mild to moderate depression reported significant improvement after 16 weeks. In cases of severe depression where antidepressants prove ineffective, ETC, or Electroconvulsive therapy, is an option. ETC involves the brief application of electric stimulus used to produce a generalized seizure. Despite the controversy over this treatment, it has been shown to improve the condition of 85% of patients with severe depression. Stuart Yudofsky, M.D., says: “When used properly, ECT is safe and effective. Unfortunately, because of fear of electricity, and the inaccurate ways ECT has been portrayed in movies and on television, many people who could benefit from it don’t consider it.” People are very complicated physically and emotionally. Whether the conditions which lead to depression involve deep emotional scares from the past or a form of disillusionment in the present, there are treatments that can offer relief and ultimately a cure. Church Fundraisers Are The Oldest Type Of Fundraising Events

By Peter Crump Church fundraisers have been around for ages and are known for being community and family get togethers. At one time they were called garden parties and were held during the summer months. At the church fundraisers, there were games of fun for the children, food to buy and crafts for sale. There was usually a supper and a dance to celebrate the success of the fundraising event. Schools and churches have band fundraisers because the purchase of band equipment is very expensive. Even if you want to purchase used band equipment, church fundraisers will be able to come up with the funds needed for different instruments. At an event where churches or schools need to raise money for the band, the patrons are almost always treated to a concert. Church fundraisers often consist of adult concerts where the adults of the community show off their talents and show how they can act silly and childish. In small communities, when a concert is a successful band fundraiser, people from another community often invite the performers to put off the concert in another town to help them with their fundraising. A common church fundraiser is a hymn sing held in the church. With this type of event, people make a donation to have their favorite hymn sung by the congregation or the choir in memory of a loved one. This also helps as a band fundraiser because the people see where the band needs new equipment just by listening to them play. Bands perform on a regular basis in parades and town festivities. In order to do well in competitions they need to have the best of equipment and therefore band fundraisers help to provide the much needed funds, not only for equipment but often for travel. Church fundraisers help local bands in many ways because they often give donations to various bands. The next time there is a church fundraiser in your town, you might be surprised at the amount of fun you have when you attend. Church fundraisers can be a lot of fun. Trade Show Rollup Displays

By Peter Emerson Trade show rollup displays are more often than not a variant of banner displays. Such kinds of rollup display banners have banner stands that can be rolled up. These banner stands are ideal for creating standing photo mural to place on the floor. This kind of rollup banner stand has special hardware that lets your graphic image be seen right from the floor till the top of the image. The best part about this kind of rollup banner stand is that from the front view of the stand all that a prospective customers can see is the image itself. This is due to the fact that all of the hardware is either concealed or else a tiny portion of it is at the bottom or the top of the stand. The rollup trade show display can also be attached alongside another rollup banner stand in order to create a much more lengthened image that can be as extended as ten feet or more. If you are looking for a trade show display that easy to transport then a rollup display is the best to opt for. Rollup displays are a good choice for a host of reasons. They are not only light but are also economical and hence good for your budget. Another kind of rollup banner stand is a retractable banner stand. These stands are slightly better as they are higher on the durability scale. The graphic images in this kind of unit are rolled in and out of a housing made of metal. This housing is usually at the bottom end of the display. In the case of such retractable banner stands, the lamination is present on both sides of the display. This aids to preserve and protect the image from any kind of damage. All in all when you consider a banner display the rollup banners are something that you might not want to give a miss. Trade Show Displays provides detailed information on Cheap Trade Show Displays, Custom Trade Show Displays, Portable Trade Show Displays, Trade Show Display Booths and more.
